La Grand Cabane de Texas Officers and Chairpersons

Dear Dames:

We hope you had a joyous and peaceful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.  This message is just a small reminder of what the Grand Cabane de Texas is doing or trying to do.  Without your help this will not be accomplished.  Please count your hour’s mileage and money you spend for your La Cabane.  Just keep in mind if you WORK IT you can count it.  These reports are important archival and informational about the work we accomplish.  Please let me see a good turn out this year on getting reports done.  It really breaks my heart to see the other states out do Texas when we are suppose to be BIG.

Another reminder about the drawing for luggage, please turn in your money and tickets to me and should you need more tickets, please contact me.  The information is attached.

Also, attached is the information on Merci Box Car in February.   It would be greatly appreciated if each Voiture or Cabane could donate a gift in the range of $25.00 for a drawing for the Grand Cabane and bring it with you when you go to Box Car.  This will be one of the most interesting guest we have ever had that can give us a great deal of information of what is actually going on right now in the war we are involved in from a doctors perspective.  It will be quite an honor to have him as our guest.  Please join us for one of our most important functions we hold Merci Box Car.

LA CABANES IN DISTRESS

First of all I would like to thank everyone for your support.  Now let’s get down to business and get-ur-done.

We have three Cabanes in Texas that will be folding if they don’t get your support.

This message is to all Voyageurs and Dames.  Please if you know someone who is involved with veterans, age 18 or older who possess a strong willingness to support our organization.  INVITE THEM.

Dames make sure your Cabane is meeting on a regular basis.  Don’t make excuses.  Set your time and place and be there.  If you are having problems, get together for a lunch or something to figure out what’s going on.  I know there are many women out there who only need an invitation and would be delighted to join.

It is very difficult for me to believe that such a great organization as the 40/8 would not be able to get the support it needs from the La Femme’s.

My wish for this next year is to get all our Cabanes strong in membership to carry on this great legacy of this Texas La Cabanes.

The Texas La Femmes are one of the greatest groups of women you could ever associate yourself with and I truly believe we can get strong again with everyone’s help.
